Adjacent to the Moon Tonight Jupiter

Interesting celestial phenomena occur starting tonight, Friday, October 14, 2011. The moon will shine brightly, side by side with the largest planet in our solar system, Jupiter - which is within closest to the Sun.

"So it's on tonight, the Moon, Jupiter is at opposition position. That is the position of the Moon or Jupiter opposite direction of the Sun so it looks full," said Professor of astronomy-astrophysics researchLAPAN, Thomas Djamaluddin VIVAnews.com  when contacted Friday night.

Jupiter, he added, would seem like a very bright star. "Although the Moon is actually a bit disturbed light," he added.

Thomas added that this phenomenon will be visible all night. "From sunset to sunrise ahead again." Weather factors will affect the appearance of it.

Moon tonight alone humans can see the Moon and Jupiter side by side. "Well tonight, then daily until the next two days. Of course there is a shift, because the Moon shifts faster than Jupiter."

Meanwhile, as published pages of The Christian Science Monitor, if still observed this phenomenon throughout the night, the public will see the moon slowly pulled away from Jupiter - about one diameter of the moon per hour.

About 01.00, the Moon will be seen flying high in the upper left of Jupiter. Then, when morning came, the Moon will be seen hanging high and almost at the top of Jupiter.
